First, before you get upset, let me define what I mean by ugly: Being ugly has nothing to do with how a woman looks, at least not in this context. What I mean by ugly is how a woman behaves toward other people. An ugly woman can be any one or all of these descriptors: disrespectful, mean-spirited, rude, selfish, whiny, negative, crude, crass, treats herself disrespectfully (most obviously her body), generally unkind, self-centered, ungrateful, unappreciative, and expects the world to spin around her and her needs.
Some ugly behavior is subtle but still is unattractive enough to repel men. Some ugly behavior has become so much a part of our society we don’t realize it’s going on. But there’s a reason so many men are opting to not bother with dating.
An “ugly” woman might have a man who dates her or a husband, but he doesn’t love her. Only a self-respecting man is capable of love and no self-respecting man would tolerate the behavior I see some women throwing at the man they’re with.
No, the kind of man who stays with an “ugly” woman is:
This woman doesn’t know what love feels like. A self-respecting man selects a woman who is beautiful in her spirit, beautiful in how she treats others, beautiful in how she treats herself and has energy that glows. Basically, she’s happy with life and happy with who she is. He shows his love by respecting her, by enjoying making her happy, by cherishing her… These are some of the benefits of developing Feminine Grace, which which I teach in Feminine Grace Made Easy.
An “ugly” woman can become beautiful, but it takes awareness, a strong desire, and a willingness to do the work required to transform herself. Any woman who wants not just a relationship, but a really good relationship that is fulfilling and enduring with a man who adores her, has to be willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. Only in the fairy tales does it take care of itself, simply because you meet “the right man.” That’s a crock.
From my heart to yours,
Kara Oh
